Power forward Will Thomas has reportedly signed with Spanish team Valencia, Ballers Abroad has learned. Thomas (who has a Georgian passport) has been in Spain since 2014, spending the past two seasons playing for Unicaja Malaga. Thomas started his career in Belgium in 2008, playing for both Liege Basket and BC Oostende until he moved to Georgia in 2011 to play for Armia. He averaged 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 44 games played last season, including putting up 8.1 points per game in the Euroleague. Thomas is best known for being a member of the 2006 George Mason team that made a Cinderella run in the NCAA Tournament, defeating North Carolina, Michigan State, Wichita State and Connecticut en route to the Final Four. Valencia went 28-6 last season, finishing third in Spain's ACB League, advancing to the semifinals in the league playoffs.
