International vet Taylor Braun is headed to the Land Down Under after signing with the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League. After a career spent mostly in Europe, the North Dakota State product will head to Australia for the first time in his career after a season spent in Israel with Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Braun averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in the Israeli Winner League as Be'er Sheva finished in fifth place in the league standings and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Winner League playoffs. He also played in the NBA G League during the 2017-2018 season with the Salt Lake City Stars.
He joins a Brisbane team that is coming off a playoff appearance after finishing the NBL regular season with a 14-14 record but has yet to sign any other import players ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
Demetrius Treadwell is the newest player for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel after signing with the tam July 1. Treadwell joins the team from France, where he played in the top division for Nanterre 92 during the 2018-2019 season. The fifth-year pro averaged 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game across all competitions for Nanterre, which included competing in the Basketball Champions League.
He joins a Hapoel Tel Aviv team that made the Winner League playoffs last season despite finishing the regular season with a 14-19 record, losing in the quarterfinals of the playoffs to eventual champion Maccabi Tel Aviv. Treadwell has prior experience playing in Israel, averaging 13.0 points per game during the 2017-2018 season with Hapoel Eilat while the team was in the country's second division. He was All-MAC First Team in 2014 during his college career at Akron. |
