Science City Jena of Germany's Basketball Bundesliga has signed point guard Julius Jenkins. Jenkins played for Buducnost Voli in the Adriatic League last season.
Jenkins is returning to Germany after spending nearly his entire career there, playing for Alba Berlin from 2006-2011, Brose Baskets from 2011-2012 and EWE Baskets Oldenburg from 2012-2015. Last season Jenkins was in Montenegro playing in the Adriatic League for Buducnost Voli, where he averaged 9.9 ppg and 2.6 apg.
Science City Jena won its first ProA championship last season, winning the second-division championship and being promoted to the top division in Germany for the firs time since 2007.
Power forward Romeo Travis has signed to play in Italy next season, inking with Pallacanesto Cantu after spending last year in France.
Bnei Herzliya of Israel's Winner League has signed point guard Taurean Green. The league announced the signing earlier today.
Walter Tigers Tubingen of Germany's Basketball Bundesliga have signed shooting guard Barry Stewart, the team announced early Aug. 12. Stewart played for Limburg United in Belgium last season.
Stewart returns to where he started his career, playing in Germany from 2010-2013 for the Giessen 46ers and TBB Trier. He spent the past three seasons in Belgium, playing for Port of Antwerp Giants (2013-2014) and Limburg United (2014-2016) in the Scooore! League, Belgium's top division.
Last season, Stewart put up 12.6 ppg and 3.1 rpg as Limburg advanced to the semifinals of the Scooore! League playoffs. He goes to a team that finished 10-24 last season and did not qualify for the playoffs. Eric Buckner will be playing in Greece next season. The big man signed with Aris Thessaloniki after spending last season in Turkey with Turk Telekom. The Georgia State grad, who has the most blocks all-time in Panthers history (167, despite only playing there for two years), has played his entire career in Turkey up to this point, suiting up for Usak Sportif, Istanbul BSB and Turk Telekom before signing with Aris and heading to Greece. The center brings scoring and rebounding to every club he plays on, averaging 10.3 ppg and 6.3 rpg for Turk Telekom last season. Aris Thessaloniki went 20-6 last season in Greece's top division, advancing to the semifinal round before falling short to Panathinaikos, 3-2.
SG Trent Lockett has signed with Baloncesto Sevilla of Spain's ACB League, Sportando and other outlets are reporting. Lockett comes to Spain from Italy, where he played for Trentino Basket in Serie A.
Spain is Lockett's fourth country in his four-year career. He started his professional career in the United States, playing for the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League. The next season was in Germany, followed by this past season with Trento Basket, where he averaged 11.3 ppg and 3.6 rpg, helping lead Trento to the semifinals of the 2016 Eurocup.
Sevilla went 14-20 last season, finishing in the bottom half of the league and not qualifying for the playoffs.
Forward Kenny Gabriel has signed with Russian power Lokomotiv Kuban. The team announced the news earlier this morning.
