Casey Prather has joined Khimki in the VTB United League, signing a one-year contract with Khimki with an option for a second year. Prather comes to Russia after spending last season in Greece and Australia. The Florida grad started the year with Melbourne United in Australia's National Basketball League before going to Promitheas Patras in the Greek A1 League.
Prather, a three-time NBL champion in Australia, averaged 15.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 35 total games played, including 16.7 points per game while at Melbourne United. Last year, Khimki went 13-11 and finished in sixth place in the VTB United regular season league standings but made a playoff run, advancing to the Finals of the VTB playoffs before losing to CSKA Moscow. Other Americans that signed with Khimki this offseason are Dee Bost, Malcolm Thomas and Anthony Gill. |
