Ed Daniel takes career to Israel with Maccabi Ashdod

Power forward Ed Daniel's pro basketball journey has taken him to a new country for the second time in his career. Daniel signed with Maccabi Ashdod, moving to Israel from Italy, where he played for four different teams over the first three seasons of his career - three in Italy's Serie A, the top division of Italian basketball. 

The Murray State grad spent last season with Pallacanestro Bologna, where he put up 14.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in Italy's Serie A2.

​The Birmingham, Alabama native will bring his offensive and rebounding skills to Ashdod, which finished in ninth place in the Winner League last season, going 14-19 and missing the playoffs by one game.
