K.C. Rivers is the newest member of Zenit Saint Petersburg after signing with the Russian team over the weekend. Rivers is a European hoops veteran, having played in nine different countries throughout the course of his eleven-year career. Last season, Rivers started in Spain with Real Betis Energia Plus before moving to Lithuania to play for BC Zalgiris Kaunas, averaging 9.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game across all competitions.
The Clemson grad has prior experience playing in Russia and the VTB United League for Lokomotiv Kuban (2011-2012) and Khimki (2012-2013), and has played for European powers like Real Madrid Baloncesto and Bayern Munich. Zenit will look to rebound after finishing with an 8-20 record in the Euroleague, and a 8-10 record in VTB United League play. He is the first American signed to Zenit for the upcoming season.
