After three seasons with Darussafaka Dogus combo guard Scottie Wilbekin has signed with Anadolu Efes, another team in the Turkish Basketball Super League, after a very successful season with Darussafaka Dogus. The Florida grad averaged 17.9 points and 5.0 assists per game across all competitions for Dogus, including averaging 19.7 points per game while leading his team to the EuroCup championship and being named Most Valuable Player of both the EuroCup and EuroCup Finals.
He will be joining an Anadolu Efes team that went 22-8 in the Turkish Basketball Super League last season, advancing to the semifinals of the BSL playoffs. However, they struggled in the Euroleague last season, finishing in last place in the standings. Wilbekin's scoring and playmaking abilities will help Anadolu Efes as they look to be more competitive in what is regarded as the highest competition in Europe in the Euroleague. |
