Per Eurobasket and other reports, veteran guard Shane Gibson will continue his professional career in Hungary after signing with Szolnoki Olaj KK in the Hungarian A League, the country's top division. The 31-year-old hasn't played since the 2019-2020 season, when he laced up for Cibona Zagreb in Croatia.
Gibson averaged 10.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game across all competitions for Cibona, which included competing in the Adriatic League as well as the Croatian national league. He joins a Szolnoki team that is looking to keep their place atop the A League standings, where they sit in first place at 15-4, while also competing in the FIBA Europe Cup. Gibson will join Angelo Warner as the only Americans on the team this year.
