Walter Tigers Tubingen of Germany's Basketball Bundesliga have signed shooting guard Barry Stewart, the team announced early Aug. 12. Stewart played for Limburg United in Belgium last season.
Stewart returns to where he started his career, playing in Germany from 2010-2013 for the Giessen 46ers and TBB Trier. He spent the past three seasons in Belgium, playing for Port of Antwerp Giants (2013-2014) and Limburg United (2014-2016) in the Scooore! League, Belgium's top division.
Last season, Stewart put up 12.6 ppg and 3.1 rpg as Limburg advanced to the semifinals of the Scooore! League playoffs. He goes to a team that finished 10-24 last season and did not qualify for the playoffs. |
