American center Alec Brown will return to Spain and to Movistar Estudiantes after signing with the team for the 2020/2021 season. The big man will play in Spain after splitting last season between Russia and Germany. He started the season with BC Nizhny Novgorod before moving to Telekom Baskets Bonn, averaging 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game across all competitions. This included competing in the Basketball Champions League not only for Novgorod, but for Telekom Baskets Bonn as well.
Brown has played in Spain three times before in his five-year career, most recently with Cafes Candelas Breogan during the 2018-2019 season. He also played for Estudiantes during the 2017-18 season, putting up 10.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while playing in Spain's Liga Endesa and the Basketball Champions League. Estudiantes will look to rebound next year after not qualifying for the league's second stage of this season with a disappointing 5-18 record |
