Allerik Freeman will play in Montenegro for the first time in his professional career after signing with Buducnost Voli for this season. Freeman split last season between Italy and Turkey, starting the year with Reyer Venezia in Italy's Lega Basket Serie A before moving to Besiktas in February 2023. Overall, the NC State grad averaged 12.2 points and 2.3 assists per game last season while shooting 38.0% from three-point range.
He joins a Buducnost Voli team who finished in third place in the Adriatic League standings last season and advanced to the league semifinals. In addition to the Adriatic League and the Montenegrin league, the team will also be competing in the EuroCup for the 2023-2024 season. Freeman has also played professionally in Hungary, Turkey, China, France, Russia and Italy. |
