Anthony Beane will continue his international hoops career in Italy after signing with Virtus Roma in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A. The guard will start his fifth pro season in his fifth different country, having played in Bulgaria, Poland, Latvia and Belgium so far in his career.
In one of the best seasons of his career last season, Beane averaged 18.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for Proximus Spirou, which included competing in the the FIBA Europe Cup. He joins a Virtus Roma team that will look to improve on last season's 7-15 finish, it's first year back in Italy's top division after four years in Serie A2. Roma's also signed Americans Chris Evans and Gerald Robinson ahead of next season. |
