TBV Start Lublin in Poland have announced their signing of guard Earvin Morris. Morris comes to Poland after splitting last season between Russia and Greece. The UTEP product started the year with Avtodor Saratov in Russia, where he averaged 6.9 points per game in the VTB United League. He then moved on to Trikala Aries in Greece where he had a significant boost in playing time and averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for Trikala, though he couldn't save the team from being relegated after finishing in last place in the Greek A1 Basket League.
He joins a TBV team that will hope to improve on its finish last season when they went 17-15, one game back of a playoff spot. This will be Morris' third year in pro basketball.
Astana in Kazakhstan has announced their signing of forward Ken Horton. Horton arrives at Astana from France, where he played last season for Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez in the LNB Pro A. The Central Connecticut grad averaged 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for Pau-Lacq-Orthez as the team finished 18-16 and advanced to the LNB Pro A playoffs.
He joins an Astana team that plays in their domestic league as well as the regional VTB United League. Astana will hope to improve on last season's finish in the the VTB United League, as the team went 7-17 and finished in tenth place in the standings. Horton has also played in France, Cyprus, Mexico, Finland and Germany.
Stelmet Enea Zielona Gora in the Polish Basketball League added another American to their roster, inking rookie guard Gabe DeVoe for next season. DeVoe arrives at Stelmet from Clemson University, where he was Honorable Mention All-ACC in 2018 while averaging 14.2 points per game for the Tigers, helping them reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
Darrius Garrett is the newest player at PAOK Thessaloniki after signing with the Greek team earlier today. Garrett started last season in Uruguay with Montevideo before moving to BC Beroe in Bulgaria. The Richmond product averaged 7.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for Montevideo before moving over to BC Beroe, where he put up 11.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for the Bulgarian side. Garrett will join a Thessaloniki team that went 17-9 last season in Greece's A1 League, advancing to the semifinals of the A1 playoffs. The team will also look to improve upon its finish in the Basketball Champions League, where they advanced to the round of 16 last season.
