Kevin Dillard, formerly of MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (Germany), has reportedly signed with Cholet Basket (France). Dillard signed with Ludwigsburg on August 2015, and averaged 11 points and 3.5 assists playing in France last season. The Dayton grad has also played in Italy and Latvia before playing in France last season.
Point guard James Florence has reportedly left Paris-Levallois Basket to sign with Croatian team Cibona Zagreb. Florence had played three games with Paris-Levallois so far this season. The Mercer grad has also played in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Hungary and Germany throughout his career, and played for KK Zadar (Croatia) last season.
Sportando and other outlets have reported that guard Derwin Kitchen is making the move from Israel to Italy, inking with Pallacanstro Varese yesterday. Kitchen had been in Israel for the past two seasons playing for Hapoel Jerusalem, who won the Israeli championship last season. The Florida State grad has also played in Croatia and Greece in his career.
Sportando has officially reported that PF/C O.D. Anosike has parted ways with Baskonia and will head to Greece to play for AEK Athens. This comes less than two months after Anosike signed with Baskonia, having played the previous season for Scandone Basket in Italy's first division.
Eurobasket and others are reporting that PF Yancy Gates could be on the move from Israel to China. The Cincinnati grad played for Hapoel Tel Aviv last season, putting up nearly 17 points and 6 boards a game in Israel's top division. The team that Gates is rumored to be going to is Shanxi Zhongyu, a team that finished in the top six in the Chinese Basketball Association last season. Shanxi could be getting rid of former Spurs center Jeff Ayres in order to make room for Gates, although that is only speculation as of now. Hapoel Jerusalem had been Gates' destination earlier in the summer, but China is definitely on the table.
