AS Monaco Basket have announced their signing of guard Lazeric Jones, adding him to the roster shortly before the beginning of the LNB Pro A season to replace the departing D.J. Cooper. Jones arrives in France from Turkey, where he spent last two seasons hooping with Sakarya BB, including the last season in the Turkish Basketball Super League. In the team's first time in Turkey's top division Jones impressed, averaging 12.0 points and 3.7 assists per game as Sakarya nabbed the final playoff spot and advanced to the quarterfinal of the BSL playoffs.
He will be looking to help Monaco win the big one last season, as the team came up short in both the Basketball Champions League final and the Pro A final. In addition to their domestic league, Monaco will also be competing in the EuroCup, which is known as the second tier of European basketball competitions. |
