After two seasons away, veteran power forward Augustine Rubit is returning to Germany after signing with Bundesliga power Bayern Munich. The 32-year-old big man joins Bayern Munich after spending last season in Lithuania with BC Zalgiris Kaunas, where he averaged 7.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the club and helped the team to a 17-17 record in the Euroleague while winning the Lithuanian League championship.
He joins a Bayern Munich team that had slightly more success in the Euroleague last season, going 21-13 and advancing to the Euroleague playoffs. Domestically, the team made it to the Basketball Bundesliga Finals, losing to Alba Berlin in four games. Rubit could be the final American addition to the team, who have already signed Darrun Hilliard, Othello Hunter, Deshaun Thomas, Corey Walden and Nick Weiler-Babb for the upcoming season.
