It's October and overseas basketball is back in full swing, which means it's time to bring back our favorite feature here at Ballers Abroad - Baller of the Week! Each week, we'll take a look around the world and find one of the best performances of the week that you might not have heard about. We're excited to share that our first Baller of the Week takes us to France, where rookie guard Loren Jackson had a big game for Chorale Roanne Basket!
The rookie guard out of the University of Akron had an impressive performance in his third game of professional hoops, putting up a double-double of 27 points and 12 assists in his team's narrow 98-97 victory over Paris Basketball in France's LNB Pro A.
This performance is just the latest part of Jackson's sizzling start to the season - the guard is averaging 17.0 points and a league-leading 8.7 assists per game in Roanne's first three games. A great start to the season coupled with an incredible double-double makes Jackson an easy choice for our first Baller of the Week honor for this season! |
