We're in the Ukraine for Baller of the Week after a monstrous performance by Q.J. Peterson over the weekend in Superleague play. The third-year guard scored an incredible 48 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists for MBC Mykolaiv in a narrow seven-point loss to first-place Dnipro. This outburst was a culmination of an insane four-game start for Peterson, who is averaging 36.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5 assists per game after signing with the team in November. The former VMI hooper also made it rain from beyond the arc, hitting a season-high nine three-pointers. Peterson has been a scorer at every stop of his career, but the absolutely fire start to the season coupled with this amazing performance meant he was an easy choice for Baller of the Week.
(Sidenote: QJ was one of the first interviews we ever did here at Ballers Abroad when he was playing in the Czech Republic, so this one is extra special for us!) |
