Bonzie Colson will continue his professional hoops career in Europe after signing with SIG Basket Strasbourg in France. The 6'6 forward out of Notre Dame started his pro career in the United States, spending the first part of the 2018-2019 season with the Canton Charge before signing a two-way contract with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks in 2019. He spent the second season of his pro career as his first year in Europe, playing for Darussafaka Tefken in the Turkish Basketball Super League. Colson averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game across all competitions, which included competing in the FIBA Europe Cup in addition to Turkey's top league.
The 24-year-old joins a Strasbourg team that will look to rebound from last season, finishing the shortened LNB Pro A 2019-2020 season with a 10-14 record, along with a 4-10 record while competing in the Basketball Champions League. Strasbourg have also signed Americans Wes Clark, Brandon Jefferson, DeAndre Lansdowne and Ishmail Wainright for the upcoming season. |
