Damian Hollis Changes Teams, Leagues in Italy

Damian Hollis is changing teams, and leagues, in Italy. Bergamo Basket in Italy's Serie A2 division has announced the signing of the small forward Jan. 26, the fifth Italian team for Hollis so far in his career. He comes to Bergamo from Pallacanestro in Serie A, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in limited appearances. Coming off a year in Portugal where Hollis put up the second-highest scoring numbers of his career, it makes sense that the George Washington grad would want to be put in a position where he can be a team's primary scoring option, which he wasn't getting at Varese.

Hollis has a Hungarian passport, and started his career in Hungary. He has also spent time in Greece and played last season in Portugal for S.L. Benfica, winning the league championship with the club.
