 Jefferson (via FIBA)
According to Sportando and several outlets, Davon Jefferson is close to signing with Red October Cantu in Italy's Lega Basket SerieA. The forward spent last season split between two teams in Turkey, starting the season with Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul and ending it with Yesilgiresun Belediye. He also played in Puerto Rico over the summer, leading his team to a championship victory. Across all competitions last season, the forward averaged 17.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
This will be the first time in Italy for Jefferson throughout his career, who has mostly played in Russia and Turkey during his career. He joins a Cantu team that finished 16-14, advancing to the quarterfinals of the SerieA playoffs. He will also provide the team with some much-needed depth as they compete in the Basketball Champions League this upcoming season. |
