Veteran forward Diamon Simpson is back at Maccabi Rishon LeZion after signing with the Israeli team this week. Simpson is no stranger to the Israeli Winner League, having played for five different teams in Israel throughout his 13-year career. He last played for Rishon LeZion during the 2018-2019 season, where he 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
The St. Mary's product most recently played in Argentina and Puerto Rico, suiting up for Quimsa in Argentina during the 2020-2021 season, and in Puerto Rico this past summer. He joins a Rishon LeZion team that could certainly use a boost after starting off the season with a 1-6 record, and will be one of a number of Americans on the squad.
