Combo guard Jared Cunningham is taking his talents to Germany, signing with Bayern Munich for the 2017-2018 season. Cunningham will begin his sixth year of professional basketball by playing in his third country, having spent the majority of his career in the United States playing for various teams in the NBA and the NBA Development League. Munich introduced Cunningham on Twitter earlier today.
Cunningham was selected in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, and played in 84 career NBA games. His longest spell in the NBA was with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 205-2016, where he appeared in 40 games and started three. He spent last season in China with Jiangsu Tongxi where he averaged 34 points and 4 rebounds per game. Bayern Munich finished last season with a 28-4 record and advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 BBL playoffs.
