Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia is reportedly close to signing experienced American ballerK.C. Rivers. Rivers is a veteran of the international scene, having played in six different countries as he begins the tenth year of his career. The Clemson grad has yet to suit up for a team this season, spending the past two years playing for Panathinaikos in Greece. Last year, he averaged 7.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, which included an 8.5 points per game clip in Euroleague play.
Rivers has prior experience in Italy but hasn't played there in nearly a decade, playing for Benneton Treviso during the 2009-2010 season, but has played for some of the best teams in Europe including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos. Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia could certainly use his help and should sign him soon, as the team currently sits in last place in Italy's Lega Basket Serie A with a 2-6 record. |
