Ike Udanoh is returning to Italy. The big man has officially signed for Pallacanestro Cantu in the Italian SerieA division, ending days of speculation about what his next move would be. This will be the third time that Udanoh will be playing in Italy, having last played in the country for Mantovana in 2016. However, this will mark his first time playing in the top division in Italy, as he had played in second-division SerieA2 on both of his previous stops. Udanoh spent last season in Kazakhsan for BC Astana, gaining valuable experience by playing in the VTB United League.
Udanoh averaged 11.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game across all competitions last season as BC Astana won Kazakhstan's National League, but finished with a 7-17 record in the VTB United League standings. Cantu will hope to improve on its 16-14 record from last season that saw them advancing to the VTB United League quarterfinals. |
