High-scoring combo guard Adam Smith will continue his pro career in Greece after signing with Ionikos Nikaias BC. Smith, who will start his fifth season this fall, spent last season with PAOK Thessaloniki, where he averaged 16.8 points per game across all competitions, including putting up 17.4 points per game while playing in the Basketball Champions League.
He will be looked to provide a scoring boost for an Ionikos squad that is hoping to improve on last season's 8-12 finish in the Greek A1 Basket League, its first ever spent in Greece's top division. Smith is the sixth American added to the roster ahead of next season, joining international vets Toarlyn Fitzpatrick, Tony Woods and Nick Zeisloft as well as rookies Jimbo Lull and Sayeed Pridgett.
