Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia have announced the signing of Jalen Reynolds for next year. Reynolds joins the Russian team from Italy, where he spent the past two seasons with Pallacanestro Reggiana and also spent time with FC Barcelona Lassa. The 25-year-old out of Xavier averaged 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the 2017-18 season, playing in the EuroCup with Reggiana and moving to Barcelona in May 2018.
Reynolds helped Reggiana to a 13-17 finish in the Lega Basket Serie A and a berth in the semifinals of the EuroCup. In a bit of a twist, Reggiana actually played Zenit in the EuroCup quarterfinals, defeating them in the two-game home and home. Zenit went 16-8 last season in the VTB United League, advancing to the semifinals of the league playoffs. |
