Stella Artois Leuven Bears added some depth to their backcourt after signing point guard Josh Heath. Heath has yet to play for a team this season but played for two teams last year, starting out in Slovenia and ending up in Turkey. Across all competitions, the Georgia Tech grad averaged 15.5 points and 6.1 assists per game, including a 16.2 points per game clip in Turkey.
He joins a Leuven Bears team that is off to a rough start in Belgium's EuroMillions League, sitting in last place with an 0-4 record while averaging the second-fewest points per game in the league. After a disappointing 10-26 record last year, hopefully the Bears can turn things around before it's more of the same for the club. He becomes the third American to join the team afterHugh Robertson and Brandan Stith. |
