Former University of Florida star Kenny Boynton is headed to a new country. Several sources have broken the news that the combo guard has signed with Yesilgiresun, a team in the Turkish Basketball Super League, Turkey's top division. This is Boynton's second spell in Turkey, having spent the 2015-2016 season with Denizli Basket.
Boynton joins the side after spending last season with Nizhny Novgorod, where he averaged 14.5 points and 3.7 assists across all competitions as Nizhny went 8-16 in the VTB United League. Yesilgiresun will hope to improve on their 11-20 record from last season, finishing eleventh in the BSL.
