As reported by multiple outlets including Eurobasket, STB Le Havre (France) has released combo guard Garrius Adams. A second-year pro out of the University of Miami (FL), Adams played his first season in Belgium, putting up more than 11 points and 3.5 assists per game for Liege Basket in leading them to the cup final. Adams signed with Le Havre in August and averaged 5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in LNB play, as well as scoring 8.5 points per game in two games in the FIBA Europe Cup.
UPDATE: STB Le Havre has signed point guard Willie Deane to replace Garrius Adams. Deane, who has dual American-Bulgarian citizenship, has been playing professionally since 2003, most recently with Krasny Oktyabr (Russia) during the 2014-2015 season. Deane played in France once before, competing for SLUC Nancy during the 2010-2011 season. |
