 Mbakwe
​Trevor Mbakwe will play in Germany for the first time since the 2014-2015 season after signing with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the Basketball Bundesliga. Mbakwe last played in Germany with Brose Bamberg, a season that saw the team win the BBL championship. The Minnesota grad spent last season in Italy with Fiat Torino, averaging 10.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as Torino finished with a 13-17 record and missed out on a playoff spot in Lega Basket Serie A.
​Ludwigsburg will hope to improve on a very successful last season in which they finished in third place in the Basketball Bundesliga and advanced to the semifinals of the BBL playoffs, which means that this season they will also play in the regional Basketball Champions League. Mbakwe has also played in Italy, Israel and Russia, and is joining five other Americans on the Ludwigsburg roster. |
