Americans Jacob Pullen, Isaiah Whitehead and Derek Needham have all extended their contracts with Mornar Bar in Montenegro, per several reports.
Pullen and Needham were stalwarts for Mornar Bar all season, playing their entire years with the team. Pullen put together another excellent season, averaging 16.9 points and 4.2 assists in 34 games played, including putting up 17.7 points per game in the Basketball Champions League. Needham was a do-everything guard for the team, putting up 11.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in addition to nabbing 1.4 steals per game. Whitehead joined the squad later in the year, starting the season with BC Astana of the VTB United League before joining Mornar Bar in January. In five games Whitehead proved his worth, putting up an efficient 12.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game despite playing less than 18 minutes per game.
The team should be excited to have some of the Americans back as they plan ahead for a team that put up a 13-8 record in the Adriatic League before play was suspended March 12. |
