Orlandina Basket in Italy has announced its signing of point guard Adam Smith. Smith has bounced around Europe this season, and Orlandina will be his fourth stop of the 2017-2018 season. The Georgia Tech product started out the season with Elan Chalon in France, then moved to Socar Petkim in Turkey where he played in ten games for Petkim. From there, Smith signed with Agribertocchi Orzinuovi in Italy's second division, where he played in six games over the course of February and March, before signing with Orlandina Basket.
While Smith has been all over the map, he has produced everywhere he's gone, averaging 16.4 points and 2.8 assists per game for the season. Orlandina could certainly use his scoring punch, as they currently sit at the bottom of the Serie A standings in second-to-last place with a 5-18 record. |
