One of the newer players on the international scene, point guard Phil Pressey has signed in Turkey with Besiktas Sompo Japan of the Turkish Basketball Super League. Pressey arrives from Spain, where he spent last season with FC Barcelona Lassa in Liga Endesa.
Pressey averaged 4.5 points per game for Barcelona, and is looking for a bigger role with Besiktas. This will be his second season as a Baller Abroad, having spent the first four seasons of his career in the NBA and the NBA G League, most notably spending two seasons with the Boston Celtics and one season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Besiktas went 20-10 last year and advanced to the quarterfinals of the BSL playoffs.
