Former NBA player and Baller Abroad Robbie Hummel has announced his retirement from basketball. The announcement had been a long time coming, according to Hummel, but was offiially made by Hummel Tuesday night on Twitter.
The Purdue grad was a second-round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, playing two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2013-2015. Hummel spent three out of his five pro seasons playing abroad, finishing his career last season with BC Khimki in Russia. He'll stay in the basketball world, announcing that he will be a color commentator and play-by-play analyst for ESPN and the Big Ten Network for the upcoming season.
