Tmoski-Minsk is the latest team to sign an American to their roster, inking forward D.J. Shelton for next season. Shelton arrives in Belarus after spending last season in Poland with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza where he put up a career-high 17.6 points per game while grabbing 10.0 boards per game as well. The Washington State grad helped lead Gornicza to a 20-12 record, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Polish Basketball League playoffs.
Tmoski-Minsk will be a step up for Shelton, as they play in the highly competitive VTB United League and will surely be looking to improve on their 8-16 record from last season. Shelton has slowly moved up the ranks in Europe after starting his career in Belgium in 2014, which included stops in Turkey, Italy, Bulgaria and Greece before spending last season in Poland. |
