Guard Tyrus McGee is moving teams in Italy, signing with Reyer Venezia after playing last season with Vanoli Cremona.
Venezia marks the third Italian team in three years for the shooting guard out of Iowa State. After starting his career in Spain, McGee played a season in Germany with Eisbaren Bremerhaven before moving to Italy. He first played for Orlandina Basket before spending last season with Vanoli, putting up 13.4 ppg in Serie A, Italy's top division.
Coincidentally, Reyer Venezia finished one spot behind Vanoli in Serie A last season, going 16-14 and finishing in fifth place, but defeated Vanoli in the quarterfinals, making it to the semifinals of the Serie A Playoffs. |
