Veteran forward Will Thomas will play in France for the first time in his 13-year career after signing with French power AS Monaco Basket in LNB Pro A. Thomas has played the last two seasons in Russia, playing for Zenit Saint Petersburg in the EuroLeague as well as the VTB United League. During the 2020-2021, he helped Zenit reach the playoffs in both the EuroLeague and the VTB United League, averaging 10.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game across all competitions.
He joins a Monaco team that will play in the EuroLeague for the first time in their history after winning the FIBA EuroCup last season. He joins fellow Americans Alpha Diallo, Rob Gray, Donta Hall and Paris Lee on the roster.
