Avtodor Saratov has signed Tre' McLean to a contract for next season, keeping McLean in Russia for another year. McLean spent last season with Parma Basket Perm in the VTB United League, where he averaged 12.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as Parma went 7-17 and finished eleventh out of 13 teams in the VTB United League. He will be joining an Avtodor team that had a more successful season last year, as they went 14-10 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the VTB playoffs.
Last year was McLean's first after graduating from Chattanooga in 2017, and he hopes to build off his impressive rookie campaign and continue to be a scoring threat in the always-competitive Russian league.
Karvel Anderson has signed with a contract with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque in France, Sportando and other sources have reported, for next season. Anderson will be moving teams in France but will stay in the same league, having spent last season with Boulazac Basket Dordogne. With Boulazac, the Robert Morris grad averaged 15.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game across all competitions as his team finished in the bottom half of the LNB Pro A standings with a 12-22 record. He will inject some scoring into a Gravelines-Dunkeque team that did not fare much better this season with a record of 15-19. Anderson played two seasons in Italy and one in Germany prior to suiting up in France last season.
Dinamo Sassari has announced their signing of forward Terran Petteway, who returns to Italy for the first time since the 2016-2017 season. Petteway split time this season between France and Greece, starting the season with JSF Nanterre and signing with PAOK Thessaloniki in February 2018. In all competitions across all leagues, Petteway averaged 10.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, playing in the Basketball Champions League for both Nanterre and Thessaloniki.
Petteway last played in Italy for Pistoia Basket in 2016-2017, his first year abroad after starting his career in the NBA G League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Dinamo Sassari had an average season after making the playoffs during the 2016-2017 season, goin 15-15 this year to finish in tenth place in Lega Basket SerieA.

Richie Williams has officially signed in the Czech Republic. Williams inked with BK Pardubice earlier this morning, signing with the team for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. Williams spent last season in Germany with PS Karlsruhe, where he put up 14.4 points per game and dished out 5.7 assists per game, leading Karlsruhe to an 18-12 record and a run to the semifinals of the ProA playoffs.
Ike Udanoh is returning to Italy. The big man has officially signed for Pallacanestro Cantu in the Italian SerieA division, ending days of speculation about what his next move would be. This will be the third time that Udanoh will be playing in Italy, having last played in the country for Mantovana in 2016. However, this will mark his first time playing in the top division in Italy, as he had played in second-division SerieA2 on both of his previous stops. Udanoh spent last season in Kazakhsan for BC Astana, gaining valuable experience by playing in the VTB United League.
Udanoh averaged 11.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game across all competitions last season as BC Astana won Kazakhstan's National League, but finished with a 7-17 record in the VTB United League standings. Cantu will hope to improve on its 16-14 record from last season that saw them advancing to the VTB United League quarterfinals.
Nathan Boothe has signed with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany. Boothe comes to Oldenburg from Turkey, where he spent this past season with Sakarya BSB in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) in his second year as a pro.
The Toledo product averaged 9.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game across all competitions for Sakarya, leading them to a 14-16 record and a berth in the BSL playoffs, where they lost in the quarterfinals to Fenerbahce. Boothe spent his first season in Italy with Pistoia Basket, and Oldenburg will be his third country in as many seasons. |
