Justin Robinson is leaving Russia and headed to France. The former Monmouth star has signed with Elan Chalon in France's LNB Pro A after spending last season with Avtodor Saratov in the VTB United League. The two-time MAAC Player of the Year had an excellent rookie season for Avtodor Saratov, averaging 10.2 points and 6.2 assists per game across all competitions, including averaging seven assists per game in VTB United League play as his team went 14-10 in the league and advanced to the quarterfinals of the VTB playoffs.
Chalon was a middle-of-the-pack team in the France's top division last year, finishing the regular season in twelfth place with a 15-19 record.
Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia have announced the signing of Jalen Reynolds for next year. Reynolds joins the Russian team from Italy, where he spent the past two seasons with Pallacanestro Reggiana and also spent time with FC Barcelona Lassa. The 25-year-old out of Xavier averaged 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the 2017-18 season, playing in the EuroCup with Reggiana and moving to Barcelona in May 2018.
Reynolds helped Reggiana to a 13-17 finish in the Lega Basket Serie A and a berth in the semifinals of the EuroCup. In a bit of a twist, Reggiana actually played Zenit in the EuroCup quarterfinals, defeating them in the two-game home and home. Zenit went 16-8 last season in the VTB United League, advancing to the semifinals of the league playoffs.
New Heroes Basketball Den Bosch has announced the signing of Jonathon Williams for next season. Williams joins the Dutch team after spending last season with Hamburg Towers in the Pro A league, Germany's second division. In 27 games, Williams averaged 16.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game as Hamburg finished the Pro A season in the middle of the table with a 13-17 record.
He joins a New Heroes team that had a very successful regular season in the Dutch Basketball League, finishing the regular season tied for second place with a 24-8 record. However, they drew the fourth seed in the DBL playoffs, losing in the quarterfinal round of the DBL playoffs to Forward Lease Rotterdam Basketbal. This will be the second country Williams has played in, having played in Germany in both the Pro A and Pro B divisions since his career began in 2014.
Second-year guard T.J. Williams has reportedly signed a two-year contract with Telenet BC Oostende in the EuroMillions Basketball League in Belgium. Oostende welcomes Williams from the United States, where Williams spent his rookie season in the NBA G League with the Greensboro Swarm. In 37 games, Williams averaged 8.8 points and 2.8 assists per game as the Swarm finished with a 16-34 record in the Southeast Division of the G League.
He will be joining a very successful team in Oostende, which won the Belgian league championship after sweeping the Antwerp Giants in the finals. Williams was the 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year at Northeastern in 2017.
After three seasons with Darussafaka Dogus combo guard Scottie Wilbekin has signed with Anadolu Efes, another team in the Turkish Basketball Super League, after a very successful season with Darussafaka Dogus. The Florida grad averaged 17.9 points and 5.0 assists per game across all competitions for Dogus, including averaging 19.7 points per game while leading his team to the EuroCup championship and being named Most Valuable Player of both the EuroCup and EuroCup Finals.
He will be joining an Anadolu Efes team that went 22-8 in the Turkish Basketball Super League last season, advancing to the semifinals of the BSL playoffs. However, they struggled in the Euroleague last season, finishing in last place in the standings. Wilbekin's scoring and playmaking abilities will help Anadolu Efes as they look to be more competitive in what is regarded as the highest competition in Europe in the Euroleague.
Hapoel Jerusalem has announced the signing of two Americans for next season - Chris Johnson and Tashawn Thomas. Johnson joins the team from France, but Thomas also played in Israel last season.
Banvit BK announced the signing of Devin Oliver for next season. Oliver comes to the team from Slovenia, where he played last year with Petrol Olimpija in the Adriatic League.
