Combo guard Skyler Bowlin is staying put in Germany, signing a two-year contract with s.Oliver Wurzburg earlier this morning. Bowlin spent this past season with Science City Jena, where the Missouri Southern product averaged 11.6 points and 5.2 assists per game in 33 games for Jena as the team finished well out of the playoff hunt with a 14-20 record. Bowlin has played in Germany since 2016. He has also played in Sweden, Denmark and Austria, winning championships in both Sweden and Denmark.
Wurzburg narrowly missed the playoffs this season, ending the regular season in ninth place with a 19-15 record. The addition of Bowlin should give the team steady guard play and a productive player in the backcourt over the next two seasons.
The Brisbane Bullets have announced that they've re-signed combo guard Stephen Holt for another year in the NBL. Holt is currently in Poland playing with BM Slam Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski for the Polish league playoffs, but will be ready to join the Bullets again when the Australian league starts up again in August. Holt averaged 9.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 28 appearances for the Bullets during the 2017-2018 season, his first in Australia since playing for Melbourne United from 2015-2016.
“I’m definitely ready to be more of a playmaker this season," Holt told Sportando. "I had honest conversations with the staff at the end of the season on how I felt I could have given more to the group. I’m looking forward to making those adjustments and helping this team win as many games as possible." The Bullets will hope to improve on last season's 9-19 record, which put them at the bottom of the NBL standings.
Combo guard Louis Campbell has signed a deal through the rest of the season with Fos Provence Basket in LNB Pro B, France's second division. Campbell spent the past two seasons playing for Levallois Metropolitans in France's Pro A division, and signed with Provence after Levallois missed out on this year's playoffs after finishing in 10th place in the league with a 16-18 record.
Campbell averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 assists per game across all competitions this season, his sixth consecutive season playing in France. He will be joining a Provence team that is in the fight in Pro B for a shot at being promoted, as they currently sit at fourth place in the standings at 23-10 with one game in the regular season. The two-time Bundesliga All-Star from Buffalo will look to provide some leadership and experience as Provence tries to break into the top division.

Jalen Reynolds has signed with FC Barcelona Lassa in Spain, according to various reports. Barcelona has reportedly signed him to bolster its front court as it heads into the Liga ACB playoffs. There are currently two games remaining in the regular season, and Barcelona is currently tied with Valencia Basket for third place in the league with a 22-10 record.
Alex Renfroe will join Italian side S.S. Felice Scandone for the upcoming Italian Lega Basket Serie A playoffs. Renfroe spent this season in Turkey with Galatasaray, averaging 9.3 points and 4.6 assists per game in 45 games for the club. After finishing the regular season in fourth place, Scandone hopes to advance in the playoffs when they begin their title chase May 13 against Aquila Basket Trento. Renfroe has not played in Italy since spending his rookie season with New Basket Brindisi in 2011-2012.
Afer three seasons in France, Jason Rich returned to Italy - and what a return it was. Rich was named the Most Valuable Player for Lega Basket Serie A, capping off an incredible year that saw him become the league scoring champ and lead his club, S.S. Felice Scandone, to a playoff berth.
Rich put up 19.5 points per game while dishing out 2.8 assists on average, helping Scandone maintain their quality play after making the Serie A playoffs last season. This is the fifth consecutive year that an American has been named MVP of Lega Basket Serie A, an award that has been given in the past to stars like Manu Ginobili and Danilo Gallinari. The regular season for the LBA ends May 9.
